lovely painting Ginnymac—-great idea for the St Bernards! We stayed at the old motel next door to St Bernards. It was all very quaint and shabby(a couple of years ago) and the scenery is spectacular!

thanks Robyn it’s still shaby even though its being extensively renovated, we [a group] did a workshop with Jeff Makin from the rooftop of the pub a couple of years ago, fabulous view, but some of the floor boards you could almost fall through.

Love you paintings, super talent, envy your ability to make them what I call ’ arty and abstract,’ I guess it’s your training. Do you enter Warwick? I go every year but may give it a miss this time.

Thanks for your lovely comments ginnymac-same goes for your work!
No I didn’t notice Warwick advertised
-though I did know they have a competition each year—-I never see stories about it till its actually on! I did go in the Stanthorpe Art prize recently and a couple of friends and myself are putting on an exhibition in Brisbane in August so I’ve been working towards that. The framing is going to make it a very expensive business!

Wonderful painting with great sense of color, humor and fabulous Saint Bernards (we’ve had three of them, so I may be a bit biased)!

Thank you Carolyn, the St’ Bernards hotel motel is famous for it’s resident Saint Bernard dog, they replace them as they retire.it’s a very old establishment and the dog just hangs around,as a sort of symbol I have a painting here Escarpment which is painted from the balcony overlooking the view. Also more somewhere on my pic files ! Sorry too many .

I always wanted to paint a picture of the dog, but he is nearly always asleep , I reckon you would fall in love with them, they’re so gorgeous.
