A wonderful capture – one could use it as a case study to learn what happens to shadow enlargement as the distance between source and screen increases.

Oh yes, youth and a bike, on a road out of sight, recalls our own memories of the jeweled freedom we couldn’t wait to grow up and out of; and what would we give to enter that gate again? There is nothing to give, nothing to get, but the softened whispers of the remembered pleading for no regrets. “just once more, one more time around the edges. I promise I won’t be long. Be back for supper!” We didn’t know then as we do now, that such exercises worthily tendered, all end. All but in our precarious memory. That we thought no one could ever take. But it too, can be taken. That is why such captures as greets my eyes here, dissolve into flashes of suspended tears. That is where Art takes our Hearts, why they are more than they show, for the gated way is singular and symbolic to every Soul - Be Bold and Grow, the way is short and Life’s breath nearer to its end. We must cast our fears with the winds, carrying us home - however short, however long, timely reminders are their own reason why.
