Tommy Iguana
This is Tommy. He was our first iguana. He was only about 18 inches long when we first got him. He grew to over 5 feet long and over 18 pounds.
He was a neighborhood favorite. People of all ages came to see him and loved him. I love the reflections of him in the window. He loved to sit and watch the world go by, all the happenings outside his window.

Cute. Wonder what thoughts are going through its mind? Nicely captured
amarica in reply to Scott Denny’s comment, 6 months ago
Thank you Scott. He was a thinker. He also understood what we said to him. When he got older, I would tell him there was food in his room and he would get up from where he was and run to his room and eat…he was a character. We really loved him.

This is so sweet! Oh Tommy! Where are you now?
amarica in reply to Rusty Woodward Gladdish’s comment, 6 months ago
Thank you Rusty. Tommy is in Heaven. When he was about 6 years old he climbed a pine tree and I could not get him down…it was a long complicated story, but the result was that we lost him and went through weeks of grieving. I believe animals go to Heaven. Thanks Rusty

This really caught my attention. I’m used to seeing pictures of cats looking out the window but not an Iguana. Nice image.
amarica in reply to Bob McKain’s comment, 2 months ago
thank you Bob. Tommy was our first iguana and he got to be over 5 feet long. We loved him dearly and grieved for days when we lost him. We have a female now we named “Trouble” but she is not trouble at all. She is a sweetheart and we love her very much.
