I can't forget you

I wanted to remember the beauty of these roses given to me by my husband on Valentines day. I set them in a soft light setting and added lace for memories. Some digital mastering finished the work.
This was a reminder to me that his love was alive and well and he picked the perfect colors to reach me…a tender message from a tender heart.

Shortly after he gave me these beautiful flowers I wrote this poem to him and about him:

ALTHOUGH YOU WEREN’T MY FIRST LOVE,
YOU SURELY ARE THE BEST.
EACH NIGHT I GO TO SLEEP MY LOVE,
REMEMBERING YOUR TENDERNESS.

BEFORE YOU CAME INTO MY LIFE,
I REALLY DID NOT KNOW,
THAT SOMEONE COULD REALLY LOVE ME,
IN ALL THE WAYS YOU SHOW.

I REALLY WASN’T READY,
FOR YOUR LOVE WHEN WE FIRST MET.
NOT BELIEVING A MAN COULD BE TRUE TO ME,
I DIDN’T KNOW YOU YET.

PATIENTLY, YOU STAYED WITH ME,
UNTIL MY LOVE COULD GROW.
‘TIL , NOW, YOU ARE A PART OF ME,
FOR I HAVE COME TO LOVE YOU SO.
